QUETTA: The Hazara Democratic Party (HDP) staged a demonstration outside the Quetta Press Club on Tuesday against the deteriorating law and order situation and the killings targeting the Hazara community.
The protesters were carrying placards and banners inscribed with slogans in support of their demands. They chanted slogans against the government and its functionaries’ failure to protect civilians.
Addressing the demonstration, HDP leaders including Raza Wakeel said that the provincial government had failed to maintain law and order in the city.
They said that terrorists were targeting the Hazara community and a glaring example was the suicide attack on Eid which claimed 13 lives. They demanded the resignation of the provincial government.
